Clergy and faithful of Nizhyn Eparchy donate blood for wounded soldiers
Metropolitan Clement, priests, nuns, and UOC parishioners took part in the blood-donation drive at the Nizhyn District Hospital.
On January 21, 2026, a blood-donation drive was held at the Nizhyn District Hospital with the participation of clergy and parishioners of the Nizhyn Eparchy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the eparchy’s press service reports.
Metropolitan Clement of Nizhyn and Pryluky, as well as clergy and lay faithful of the eparchy, joined the effort to donate blood for the needs of wounded soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The charitable initiative also included nuns of the Entry of the Theotokos Convent in the city of Nizhyn.
“By their example, the donors demonstrated sacrificial love and support for the Defenders of the Homeland, who daily stand guard over the freedom of our people,” the statement says.
As the UOJ previously reported, UOC churches in Kyiv have opened warming stations for residents of the capital.
