The Government of Ukraine is ready to comprehensively contribute to the process of the formation of the OCU within its powers and capabilities, the “Government Portal” cites the words of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman.
Such a statement was made by Groysman during a meeting with the head of the OCU Epiphany Dumenko on the occasion of handing over the premises in the Kiev centre to the OCU.
“The Orthodox Church of Ukraine now has the opportunity for its activities – not only in churches but also in the administrative building. Now the process of the formation of the Church is underway, therefore the Government decided to hand over the premises. The state will provide further assistance,” the head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted.
Earlier, Groysman stressed that he considers the OCU to be another step towards achieving Ukrainian success. “I know from the inside how hard it was. If it were not for his (Petro Poroshenko’s – Ed.) abilities and character, we would be waiting for this Tomos for Ukraine for centuries ... I am convinced that in the future the Orthodox Church will only develop and grow through dialogue, love, and faith,” he added.
