On December 6, 2019, the “patriarch” of the liquidated Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate, Filaret Denisenko, addressed the head of the OCU with words of gratitude for the opportunity to dispose of property built by him. “Once again, thank you for the fact that conscience did not allow such a crime to be committed,” he wrote on the website of the UOC-KP.
Filaret pledged to oppose the raider seizure of the property of the Kiev Patriarchate until the end of his life, as "this property has been acquired by me during the 53-year ministry". Denisenko believes that some officials contribute to raider attacks and wonders if it is possible to build a democratic state in such conditions.
According to the head of the UOC-KP, it is impossible to liquidate the Church of the Kiev Patriarchate, and therefore he is ready to fight for the religious organization under his control "to the end".
The "patriarch" believes that by its decisions the latest "Holy Synod" of the OCU shows dependence on the Greek tradition and is "unknowingly preparing a religious war in Ukraine."
Denisenko ended his address with another call on all those concerned to stand for the Kiev Patriarchate.
As reported, Denisenko believes that the order to destroy the Kiev Patriarchate came from Constantinople.
