On March 6, 2020, the people's deputy of Ukraine from the “Opposition Platform – For Life” faction, Alexander Kachny called on Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba to dismiss Ukraine's Ambassador to Montenegro, Natalia Fialko, for provocative statements against the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. The video with the appeal was posted by the Opposition Platform people's deputy on his YouTube channel.

According to him, the Ukrainian diplomat violated the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

"The Ambassador of Ukraine to Montenegro allowed insulting attacks against our Metropolitan Onuphry, who heads the Ukrainian Orthodox Church," the MP said. “Moreover, she said that he can’t be called the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church but only the head of the Russian Orthodox Church. She stated that the property should be seized from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and handed over to the OCU. Do you think that the diplomat has the right to speak like this, and don’t you think that she should be fired immediately? She falls under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine."

In response, the newly elected Minister promised to study the matter and return to a substantive discussion of this situation.

As reported, the MPs demanded the withdrawal of the statement of the Embassy of Ukraine to Montenegro about the Primate of the UOC, calling him “Metropolitan of the ROC, who is not authorized to express the opinion of the Orthodox”.
