On March 25, 2020, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said that during the coronavirus quarantine the state will present the "Easter at Home" project, reports the head of state’s official website.

"Easter usually gathers many people in the church. Among them are those who’ve come from abroad. That is why we are preparing and will soon present the "Easter at Home" project, which will help to celebrate this big feast at home, without gathering crowds in churches," said the President.

During a conference call, he told the RSA heads about his communication with the heads of Churches and religious organizations regarding divine services during the coronavirus quarantine.

“Church leaders understand that worship can be conducted online through video conferencing. If some ceremony requires the presence of people, then it is necessary to limit the number of parishioners. All Church leaders agree with this,” Zelensky emphasized.

The conference call participants also discussed the possibility of patrols near temples and churches. Such patrols will have to conduct conversations with believers in case of a large crowd and explain the danger of the mass gatherings to the health of not only the participants in such gatherings but also of those around them.

Earlier, Zelensky called on the heads of all Churches to conduct online services.
