On April 10, 2020, with the blessing of Metropolitan Filaret of Lviv and Galicia, a clergyman of the Lviv Eparchy of the UOC handed over a set of medical masks and a disinfectant solution to the Centre for Emergency Medicine, reports the eparchial press service.

The aid to doctors was provided by the secretary of the Lviv eparchial administration Archpriest Alexander Ivanchenko.

“The doctors thanked the clergy of the Lviv Eparchy for their help, emphasizing that these things are really necessary in their professional work, and asked for prayers, because every day they help different people, go into their homes and risk their own health,” said the press service of the eparchy.

As reported earlier, Metropolitan Filaret of Lviv and Galicia blessed the clergy to daily read the canon of the Holy Martyr Charalampy with prayers for deliverance from the pandemic.
