ATO/JFO veteran Igor Gorokh called on the Ukrainian authorities to stop the persecution of the UOC.

The video message was published in the telegram channel "MDefenders of Ukraine".

“I am Igor Gorokh, I participated in the ATO and JFO in 2015-2017. I appeal to the authorities and urge not to be likened to the NKVD bodies, which blew up churches in the 30s of the 20th century. We remember from history how Khrushchev said that he would show the last priest on TV. God's Providence in a short time he was gone and his plans did not come true,” said the ATO veteran.

Igor Gorokh added that during the war it is necessary to maintain unity, rather than create a split.

“By your actions, you create a split, which benefits the enemy. There are millions of us Orthodox, thousands who fight in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and are engaged in volunteer activities. You divide us into right and wrong by religion, by language. Power, think about it!” he called.

As the UOJ reported earlier, a soldier on the front line said that they would defend the Orthodox faith.
