On April 19, 2020, the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, will celebrate Easter with a prayer to end the epidemic of coronavirus, reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

Due to quarantine restrictions and in order to avoid the concentration of a large number of believers, the Archpastor will perform the Liturgy at his residence in St. Panteleimon’s Monastery of Feofania.

During the Easter Liturgy, the Primate of the UOC will offer special prayers for ending the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine.

“Now, being in good health and well-being, the Archpastor is preparing for the Easter service and the celebration of the Holy Resurrection,” reports the UOC Information and Education Department.

As reported earlier, in his Easter video address to the Ukrainians, His Beatitude Onuphry urged us not to lose heart or despair, because the trial of the coronavirus will soon become for us another page in the history, in which the Lord once again tested our love for Himself and for people.
