In an interview with the Argentine La Nación newspaper, Pope Francis said that he was ready to go to Kyiv on one condition – if he goes to Moscow.
“I am ready to go to Kyiv, and I want to go there. However, I will do it on the condition of travelling to Moscow. I go to both places or I don’t go to either,” said the head of the RCC.
The Pope also considered unlikely a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. However, he admitted that a world meeting of delegates would be organized.
Earlier, the Pope called the conflict in Ukraine a world war, where the imperial interests of all countries, not just Russia, are involved.
As the UOJ previously reported, the pontiff urged Ukrainians and Russians to forgive each other.
