Foreign Ministry criticises UN for report on UOC discrimination

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has criticized the UN for the latest report of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Ukraine, which, in particular, alleged discrimination against the UOC. A statement to this effect was made by Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko on his Facebook page, incidentally calling the UOC "the Moscow Patriarchate".
"Ukraine is a democratic state where freedom of religion is guaranteed. At the same time, freedom is not identical to the right to engage in activities that undermine national security," Nikolenko said and called on the UN "to refrain from unbalanced political assessments and to base its reports on facts."
As reported, the UN has published a report on discrimination against the UOC in Ukraine.
