On April 19, 2023, believers opened the door of building 39 of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, sealed by the police.

The police sealed the door of the gallery of the Lavra and restricted access to building 39, where there were people.

The police responded neither to remarks about the illegality of such actions nor to requests to open the door, since there were people in the building.

For this reason, with the words "The Lavra belongs to the people", the believers opened the door of the gallery and building 39, while tearing off the seals of the Reserve inside the building.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that the lawyer of the Lavra, Priest Nikita Chekman, believes that there is an “outarge” in the monastery at the moment.
