The administration of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" introduced restrictions on the stay of visitors on the territory of the Lower Lavra, as well as on the entry and exit of vehicles from 21 April 2023. This is the subject of a letter from the Reserve published by the monastery's lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman, on his Telegram channel.

The document, signed by the first deputy general director of the Reserve Oleksandr Rudnik, says that "for the organization of access control and protection of the territory of the Lower Lavra, ensuring public order, the passage of vehicles, bringing / removal of material values" for the period of the Commission on acceptance-transfer of property established by the Ministry of Culture "from 00 hours 21.04.2023 restrictions on the movement of vehicles and visitors to the Lower Lavra are introduced”.

Entrance and exit of visitors "as of this moment" is permitted from 6.00 to 22.00 through the gates in Lavrska Street and near the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Bearing Well". Entry and exit (only through the gate in Lavra Street) are allowed only to those vehicles that are on the list drawn up by the Reserve or in case of a separate agreement with the Reserve.

As reported, on 21 April, police officers cut off the locks on Building 44 of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
