Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne concelebrates with Jerusalem Church hierarch
With the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh concelebrated the nighttime Divine Liturgy at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem with Metropolitan Joachim of Helenoupolis, a hierarch of the Jerusalem Patriarchate, according to the Rivne Eparchy.
The hierarchs were joined by clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and priests from several eparchies of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Numerous faithful and several groups of pilgrims from Ukraine prayed at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ.
Those attending the Liturgy offered prayers for peace in Ukraine, an end to the war, the Ukrainian people and the country’s defenders. Ukrainian pilgrims recited the Lord’s Prayer at the site of Christ’s Resurrection. The joint service filled the hearts of the faithful with spiritual joy and hope.
As the UOJ previously reported, Patriarch Theophilos received Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and pilgrims from his eparchy.
