On April 20, 2023, several clergy of the Georgian Orthodox Church came out in support of the UOC.

In an appeal published on the Spasi i Sokhrani YouTube channel, representatives of the Georgian Church spoke about their vision of the situation with the UOC.

Priest David Isakadze stressed that at the moment "the rights of Ukrainian Orthodox are being violated in Ukraine."

“We pray for our Ukrainian Orthodox brothers and sisters. When St. Gregory the Theologian arrived in Constantinople, there was only one Orthodox church there. Everything else was taken over by the Arians. Nevertheless, Orthodoxy triumphed there after a while. In the same way, Orthodoxy will win in Ukraine,” Father David believes.

Priest Fotiy Zumbadze stated that “vandalism and persecution of the UOC is jointly carried out by the government of Zelensky, the Uniates and the schismatic group led by Epifaniy …”

“In desecrated churches, Uniates and schismatics jointly ‘serve thanksgiving prayers’, concerts are held (there) ... and pagan rituals. And all this is made possible through joint, coordinated actions of the government and this graceless religious formation,” said the priest of the Georgian Church.

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia addressed the head of the Phanar due to the situation around the UOC.
