UNESCO mission arrives in Odesa to assess damage to UOC cathedral

On 29 July 2023, a mission of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) arrived in Odesa to assess the damage to the Transfiguration Cathedral of the UOC, reports the press service of the Odesa City Council.
The mayor of Odesa Gennady Trukhanov said that the work has begun and the mission will record the consequences of the strikes and document everything.
As reported, on July 23, the Transfiguration Cathedral (UOC), as well as a number of other buildings in the Odesa centre, was destroyed during a missile attack.
