UOC parish in Paris celebrates its first patronal feast day

On August 5, 2023, the parish of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God in Paris celebrated its first patronal feast, reports the Department of External Church Relations of the UOC.

On the feast day, an akathist and a water blessing service were held, followed by the Divine Liturgy. The service was jointly officiated by the rector of the Paris parish, Priest Mark Mintenko, Archimandrite Isaac (Priutesa) (Brussels, Belgium), Priest Vitaliy Gorzov (Lisbon, Portugal), and the employee of the UOC DECR, Archpriest Vasyl Pryts.

During the liturgy, prayers for peace in the Ukrainian land were offered.

After the service, all the faithful were invited to a festive meal, during which they could socialize and sing Ukrainian folk songs.

As reported, the hierarch of the Antiochian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Germanos of Central Europe and Germany, led the Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the first patronal feast of the UOC parish of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God in Cologne (Germany).
