On August 17, 2023, on the day of the ninth anniversary of the enthronement of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, His Beatitude Metropolitan Rostislav, Primate of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, sent him a congratulation. This was reported by the Information and Educational Department of the UOC.

The Czechoslovak First Hierarch stressed that His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, who constantly works in prayer and cares for the flock, fulfills the covenant of Christ and daily “lays down his life” (John 15:13) for the suffering Ukrainian people.

“In your person, Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church have found a true spiritual leader, a good shepherd, and a loving father,” Metropolitan Rostislav wrote.

He wished His Beatitude Onuphry that through the prayers of the great Kyiv-Pechersk saints, the Lord would strengthen him in the cross-bearing Primatial ministry and give him many good years of life.

As the UOJ reported, the Primates of the Antiochian, Serbian, Polish, Macedonian, and American Churches also congratulated Metropolitan Onuphry on the ninth anniversary of his enthronement.
