As part of the fight against the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine, from November 14, a "weekend quarantine" is introduced. The corresponding decision was made at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, November 11.

“The Ukrainian economy will not stand a complete lockdown,” Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said during the meeting. “That is why the government and the Ministry of Health, together with epidemiologists, analysts, business representatives, began to look for the best option for additional quarantine restrictions. The Ministry of Health has developed amendments to Resolution No. 641, which provide for the introduction of the so-called weekend quarantine in Ukraine."

The new quarantine restrictions will be in effect from 00:00 Saturday to 00:00 Sunday.

The ban includes:
•    food courts and entertainment areas in the mall (it is planned to allow only shops to work);
•    entertainment and mass events;
•    activities of cultural institutions (in particular, cinemas, theatres, museums).
•    restaurants, cafes and other catering establishments can only work for takeaway.

This weekend will work:
•    grocery shops;
•    pharmacies (including veterinary);
•    transport;
•    gas stations.
We will remind, earlier the head of the Legal Department of the UOC Archpriest Alexander Bakhov said that "weekend quarantine" in no case should prohibit believers from meeting their religious needs – to go to church in compliance with all quarantine norms.
