In 2024, construction of an ecumenical temple of four religions will begin in Moscow: Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Islam, TASS reports.
The model of the center of four religions will be presented at the international exhibition and forum at VDNKh, said the head of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Albir Krganov.
He calls the project “a unique platform for dialogue in its potential and capabilities.”
“This project will unite the temples of four traditional religions of Russia – Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Islam. There will be an educational center and museums, exhibition grounds, intellectual laboratories for each of our religions, special spaces for youth leisure, creativity, gardening and sports on the complex pemises ,” Krganov said.
According to him, he met with Putin and told him that he had already received documents for construction from Moscow Mayor Sobianin.
“We believe that this project will be an important contribution to strengthening interethnic and interreligious harmony,” concluded the mufti.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that Putin promised Kadyrov to build a new mosque in Moscow.
