Prosecutor's Office insists on detention of Metropolitan Feodosiy

Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office will continue to petition the court for the detention of Metropolitan Feodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv, said prosecutor Vadym Kolomiets "Channel 5".
"The accused violated the risks, namely committed another offence, and he was declared suspicion under Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – also incitement of religious hatred,” said the representative of the Prosecutor's Office. “In addition, it was found that he violated the duties that were determined by the court decision, namely that he was on the territory of Cherkasy Eparchy without permission, which was not granted by the court to visit this place".
The next court hearing in the case of Metropolitan Feodosiy is scheduled for 11 December.
As reported, earlier the Kyiv-Svyatoshyn District Court and the Sosnovsky Court of Cherkasy rejected the Prosecutor's Office's demands to detain the Cherkasy bishop.
