Unknown persons damaged the Nativity scene in the centre of Kamyanets-Podilskyi. The heads of the figures of St Joseph the Handmaiden and shepherds were smashed.
The police tracked down a 36-year-old woman, who, according to the law enforcers, damaged the installation of the Nativity scene in the European Square. A case under Article 173 (petty hooliganism) was initiated against the offender.
The sanction of this article provides for a fine, community or correctional labour or arrest.
As earlier reported, in Germany vandals beheaded the statues of the Holy Family.
