On January 24, 2024, the Pechersk District Court in Kyiv (15 Volodymyrska Street) will consider the lawsuit filed by a parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) against the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" regarding the denied access for UOC believers' to the monastery grounds. This information was shared by the monastery's lawyer, Archpriest Nikita Chekman.

"We ask for your prayerful support. If you have the opportunity, come to court; we will pray there so that the Lord grants us His mercy, and we can pray in our holy place—Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra," urged Father Nikita. "We see injustice, we see how the rights of religious citizens are neglected in our country. When criminal orders are carried out, and a monastery is expelled, we should not stand aside; we must do everything we can—pray and defend our rights legally."

The court session is scheduled to begin at 8:30.

As previously reported by the UOJ, on January 22, the Northern Economic Appellate Court of Kyiv postponed until February the consideration of two appeals by the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra (monastery) regarding the first-instance court's decisions to deprive the UOC of the right to use the temples and other premises of the monastery.
