On 6 February 2024, near the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, there was a meeting of teachers of Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. This was reported by the KDAiS press service.

The meeting, initiated by the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, discussed issues related to the life of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and Kyiv Theological Schools in the conditions of Russia's war against Ukraine.

"Particular attention was paid to the functioning of the Kyiv Theological Schools in difficult modern conditions. The meeting also focused on theological aspects, in particular, on the role and mission of the UOC and KDAiS in the conditions of military conflict, as well as on the support of the AFU and Ukrainian society," the press service told.

As reported by the UOJ, Yelensky assured the Anglican archbishop of the "unity of Ukraine's denominations".
