The head of the OCU promised Romanian-speaking communities to "create comfortable conditions for their stay" in case of conversion.
While in Chernivtsi, Epifaniy Dumenko urged the Romanian-speaking communities of the UOC in Bukovyna to transfer to the OCU, Ukrinform reports.
Speaking of his desire for the "transitions" to the OCU in this region to take place "peacefully," Dumenko urged everyone to join his structure.
"I urge all Orthodox Ukrainians to unity, not only Ukrainians but all those living on the territory of Bukovina. There are many Romanian-speaking parishes here. We are waiting for everyone, we will create appropriate comfortable conditions for everyone. And together in a united state, in a united Church, we will build our common future and develop our Ukrainian world," said Dumenko.
As reported, on the eve of Dumenko's arrival in Bukovyna, there was an attempted seizure of churches in Sokyriany and Lenkivtsi.
