RCC archbishop laughs at Pope's words about blessing same-sex couples

Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano of the RCC, who at one time was the Apostolic Nuncio of the Vatican to the United States and Secretary General of that state, published on X an archival photo in which representatives of the association G.S.Madonna del Ghisallo gives the pontiff a bicycle.

Vigano accompanied the photo with a comment on behalf of the Pope: " I’m not blessing the bicycle: I’m separately blessing two wheels."

The archbishop did not write anything else, but it can be assumed that he thus commented on Pope Francis' words about the declaration "Fiducia supplicans", which prescribes the blessing of LGBT+ couples. The Pope stated that "when a couple spontaneously approaches and asks for it (blessing – Ed.), it is not the union that is blessed, but simply the people who asked together."

As earlier reported, the Pope commented on the document on the blessing of gay couples.
