Toretsk church of UOC comes under shelling

On March 9, 2024, the Macarius Church of the UOC in the town of Toretsk, Donetsk region, was affected by shelling, reports the Telegram channel of the Pokrovsk Vicariate.

As a result of the strike, the central dome was damaged, the church roof and the walls were destroyed, and the windows were shattered. Debris from the structures fell into the altar and the church itself.

According to the Donetsk Prosecutor's Office, earlier on March 7, the Russian army dropped a bomb on the private sector of Toretsk, injuring three people.

As reported, the UOC showed a destroyed church in the village of Ocheretino near Avdiivka.
