Priest of the Constantinople Patriarchate, Alexey Uminskiy, stated that he would not serve alongside representatives of the OCU if such an opportunity arose.

During a live broadcast on his YouTube channel, former priest of the Russian Orthodox Church, Alexey Uminskiy, received a question from a ROC priest, Archimandrite Savva (Mazhuko): "As a cleric of the Constantinople Patriarchate, will you serve together with representatives of the OCU?"

Father Alexey replied: "No, I won't. Does that suit you? But I won't ask you any follow-up questions, Father Savva. I don't want to."

When Archimandrite Savva suggested "having a conversation", Fr. Alexey also stated that he would not do that either because he "doesn't see any point."

As reported by the UOJ, on January 13, 2023, the third session of the diocesan court of Moscow was held regarding "the case of Father Alexey Uminskiy", which resulted in the decision to defrock the priest.
