Cardinal Carlo Maria Viganò, former Vatican nuncio to the United States, condemned the shamanic ritual that took place before the start of the mass at the Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Superior, Wisconsin, USA.
According to him, the ritual, during which four women danced around the altar in the Catholic Church to the sounds of a drum and the singing of a shaman, "is a compendium of the most abominable liturgical horrors."
"The shamanic ceremony at the beginning of the service constitutes a sacrilegious act that desecrates the Cathedral of the Diocese of Superior (Wisconsin) on the day the Holy Chrism is consecrated," the cardinal said.
He noted that the only "comfort" ("so to speak") in this situation is to see that the "participants in the profanations of the Bergoglian sect are almost all of advanced age (especially the shamanesses, truly pathetic)."
"The sterile and senescent Vatican II generation is heading toward the sunset avenue," he wrote, adding that "It is up to Catholics to organise in the latitude of Authority to ensure the traditional formation of tomorrow's priests, faithful to the Apostolic Mass."
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a shamanic ritual was held at a diocesan church of the Roman Catholic Church in the USA at the beginning of mass.
