From April 16 to October 2, 2024, the exhibition titled "Sweat Study" will be held in the Catholic church of San Fantin, consisting of 207 pieces of men's underwear sculpted from Carrara marble and spread out on the church floor.

The advertisement for the exhibition website states that "these modest garments, removed from the bodies that wore them, become tangible symbols of identity and loss, emphasizing the body as a political site and humanizing the invisible lives touched by war and terror."

The author of the "art objects" in the form of men's underwear is the British artist of Iranian descent Reza Aramesh.

The underwear is made of Carrara marble and spread out on the floor of San Fantin, a 12th-century church that houses the miraculous Byzantine icon of Saint Marina.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Catholic Archdiocese of Venice, also known as the "Venetian Patriarchate".

The Archdiocese of Venice is part of the ecclesiastical region of Triveneto. Currently, the archdiocese is governed by the "patriarch" Francesco Moraglia. The "honorary patriarch" is Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church Angelo Scola.

Earlier it was reported that, according to Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church Gerhard Müller, there are bishops in the Catholic Church who do not believe in God.
