On May 15, 2021, Metropolitan Varsonofy of Vinnytsia and Bar celebrated the Divine Liturgy with the community of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Bokhoniki, Vinnytsia region, reports the eparchy’s website.

The service was held in the open air near the equipped premises where the UOC community has been praying since 2019 due to the fact that their church was seized by representatives of the OCU.

His Eminence was concelebrated by the secretary of the eparchy, Archimandrite Arkady Senchukivsky, the dean of the Vinnytsia district deanery, Archpriest Nikolai Strok, the rector of the church, Archpriest Artemy Mishchenko, and the clergy of the deanery.

During the liturgy, the rector of the church, Fr Artemy, was awarded the right to wear a cross with decorations.
Many believers and children took part in the sacrament of the Eucharist.

Metropolitan Varsonofy thanked the priests and parishioners for their steadfastness in the faith and loyalty to the canonical Church of Christ.

The UOC community in the village of Bohoniki also needs aid. The room where believers are praying requires major repairs. Requisites:
