On April 25, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office announced that the court had chosen preventive measures for the abbot of the Holy Assumption Sviatohirsk Lavra, Metropolitan Arseny, in the form of 60-day detention without the right to bail. This was reported by the Information and Education Department of the UOC.

As the UOJ reported, on April 24, 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine announced suspicion to Metropolitan Arseny of the Holy Assumption Sviatohirsk Lavra under Part 2 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (dissemination of information about the movement, actions, or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the possibility of their identification on the ground).

According to law enforcement officers, during the liturgy, Metropolitan Arseny "exposed" the location of defense checkpoints to the occupiers in the Kramatorsk district of Donetsk region.
