Abbot of Tithe Monastery: No court’s prohibition of demolition, no temple

Bishop Kliment, the abbot of the Tithe Monastery of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, called for prayers for the monastery as there is a possibility that the church will be demolished on 7 May. The bishop's word was published on the monastery's Facebook page.
"The Executive Service has entered into a contract with a construction company, ... construction and demolition company. On 7 May, Tuesday of Holy Week, at 6:30 it will be engaged in the demolition of this church. So, I ask everybody for holy prayers. We all believe in the miracle of God, in the power of God," Bishop Kliment said.
The bishop noted that the demolition of the church had been sought by the enemies of the Church from the first day when there was still a temporary tent on the site of the Tithe Church. But only now through the court they have achieved a decision to dismantle it.
"And what they are going to do on Tuesday of Holy Week is illegal, our lawyers are challenging it. But everything is sly there too: they filed (the demand – Ed.) on Friday night so that we do not have time to file a lawsuit in court. We are out of time. And if the court does not make a decision earlier to prohibit their unlawful actions, everything is possible," said Bishop Kliment.
UOC lawyers warned the brethren to take everything out of the temple in advance as it is quite possible that it will be demolished.
"Therefore, I ask for holy prayers! We can't help each other in any other way," said the hierarch.
As reported by the UOJ, the OCU asked the National Museum to give them the remnants of the Tithe Church of the UOC after the demolition.
