MP Iryna Herashchenko from the "European Solidarity" party stated on 21 May that bill No. 8371, which actually leads to the ban on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, could be voted on that day. However, as of 22 May, the bill has not been brought up for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada. On her Telegram channel, the MP blamed the OPZZh faction for this.
"Boyko called European Solidarity 'an aggressive minority' from the parliamentary rostrum. The Speaker did not intervene or make any comments," Herashchenko complained.
According to her, the OPZZh faction is currently in a coalition with the "Servant of the People" party.
"In fact, this is why the servants and the presidium do not bring the bill banning Moscow priests to the hall. At the request of constructive and meek friends from the OPZZh," the MP believes.
As reported by the UOJ, on May 21, MPs blocked the Rada, demanding that the bill on the UOC be put to a vote.
