Metropolitan Theodosiy of Cherkasy and Kaniv came to the town of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi to support the religious community of the UOC Church of the Holy Mandylion, who had been expelled from their shrine. This was reported on the Telegram channel of the Cherkasy Eparchy.

The bishop met with the priest and the faithful near the church fence to support them spiritually and bless them.

"Do not condemn any of the raiders individually – they are unfortunate people. But do not justify the evil force that is waging war against us, the Church," said the bishop in his message to the Orthodox Christians.

As reported, the rector the Church of the Holy Mandylion (UOC) in Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Archpriest Ioann Nalapko, described how raiders barbarically took over the church at night, what is happening near the desecrated shrine now, and how the same people who came to take away the believers' place of prayer had previously hindered the construction of this church.
