Primate of OCA officiates Vespers in a UOC church of Chernivtsi

On the first day of his visit to Ukraine, June 1, 2024, the Archbishop of Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Tikhon of All America and Canada, officiated the Vespers in the Holy Spirit Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Chernivtsi. The service was broadcast live on the Facebook page of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy.
The Primate of the Orthodox Church in America was concelebrated by the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a host of bishops and dozens of clergymen of the UOC.
Thousands of Orthodox Bukovynians prayed at the festive worship.
Tomorrow, June 2, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon together with His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at the Ascension Monastery in Bancheny.
As the UOJ wrote, the clergy and faithful of the UOC solemnly greeted the Primate of the American Orthodox Church in Chernivtsi.
