Bulgarian politician, leader of the Revival (Възраждане) party Kostadin Kostadinov considers that the joint service of hierarchs of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church with representatives of the OCU is a church crime.

The edition blitz.bg published the official position of the Revival party on the issue of Bulgarian hierarchs concelebrating with representatives of the OCU at the Phanar.

According to politicians, "any joint service with schismatics is a church crime and a violation of canons."

The party also believes that "Metropolitans Nicholas, Cyprian, and Jacob, as well as Bishops Zion and Vissarion, should be deposed."

Earlier, the UOJ wrote that, according to Metropolitan Gabriel of Lovech, the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church did not authorize the concelebration of hierarchs of the Bulgarian Church with Zoria and Lotysh at the Phanar.
