Ecumenical Patriarchate Synod held in Istanbul

The Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate convened in Istanbul on Sunday, June 9, and will also hold sessions on Monday, June 10, under the chairmanship of Patriarch Bartholomew. This was reported by the Phanar website.
It is reported that in the morning, the Divine Liturgy was held at the Church of St. George at the Phanar, led by Metropolitan Stefanos of the Estonian Apostolic Orthodox Church of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The head of the Phanar and members of the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate attended the service.
The publication notes that bishops from dioceses such as Canada, Laodicea, Crete, Korea, Austria, New Jersey, Chicago, Rethymno, Seleucia, and others are participating in the Synod.
As reported by the UOJ, the Estonian authorities are expecting amendments from the EOC MP on "severing with Moscow" in the statute in July.
