A commission from the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine visited the Holy Assumption Sviatohirsk Lavra, journalists from the KozakTv1 Telegram channel reported.
Two weeks before this visit, Ministry of Culture officials had already visited the monastery and threatened to "Ukrainianize the Lavra". The brethren of the monastery are asking for prayers.
As reported by the UOJ, on April 24, 2024, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine came with searches to the Sviatohirsk Lavra and reported suspicion to Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk under part 2 of article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (dissemination of information about the movement, action, or location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, allowing their identification on the ground).
On April 25, the Donetsk court chose a measure of restraint for Metropolitan Arseniy in the form of detention for 60 days without the right to post bail.
