The head of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs of the UOC, rector of the Holy Trinity Jonah Monastery in Kyiv, Archbishop Jonah (Cherepanov) of Obukhiv, told a UOJ correspondent that the procession on the Day of the Baptism of Rus’ is a celebration and great joy.

“Today is a great joy, today we see the fruit of the sermon and the fruit of the baptism of Prince Vladimir. After 70 years of communist persecution and 30 years of increasing and decreasing oppression, the present-day Church is alive and living in fullness. The Church gathered at the monument to Prince Vladimir to testify to its faithfulness to the UOC, headed by His Beatitude Onuphry. This is the joy of communication, this is the joy of being in unity,” said Archbishop Jonah.

The UOJ live-streamed the Great Cross Procession – 2021.
