The Council of Churches under the Kirovohrad Regional Military Administration has excluded representatives of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from its membership, reports the RMA’s Telegram channel.
The decision to exclude them was made unanimously on September 19.
The administration quoted Abp Mark of Kropyvnytskyi and Holovanivsk, who, according to his statement, initiated this process.
"The fact is that the Russian Orthodox Church is currently being accused of heretical positions, inciting war and failing to fulfill its mission as a church. We see no repentance or awareness of the consequences their actions have led to. We do not see them distancing themselves from this policy, and moreover, they are 'heralds of the Russian world'. On this basis, it is necessary to distance ourselves from them," he said.
As reported by the UOJ, OCU hierarchs demanded the exclusion of the UOC from the Transcarpathian Spiritual Council.
