The anti-church riots in Montenegro were organized by the same external forces that provoke the seizure of temples of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church by supporters of the OCU, Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate (DECR MP), told RIA Novosti.
He noted that the events in Montenegro are similar to the events in Ukraine, as they arose on the nationalist ground, and the purpose of these attacks on the canonical Churches is to weaken Orthodox unity in different parts of the world. In this regard, Father Nikolai considers it important to have the mutual support of believers from different countries. “Mutual support of believers of the canonical Orthodox Churches is very important for us, their solidarity in resisting politicized schisms, which, as a rule, arise on the nationalist ground,” said the deputy head of the DECR MP.
As reported, there were those who wanted to stop us with a sniper rifle, said Patriarch Porfirije.
