On October 14, 2024, the day of the Feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, the religious communities of the Intercession parishes of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, whose churches were forcibly seized by supporters of the OCU, celebrated their patronal feast in facilities repurposed for worship. This was reported by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy.

Divine Liturgies were held in the village of Pecheske in the Krasyliv Deanery, in the village of Adamivka in the Vinkivtsi District, in the village of Zahontsi in the Derazhnia District, and in other villages where the parishes of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy continue to operate in private premises since the raider seizure of their church buildings.

“The services were attended by an elevated prayerful spirit that typically fills the hearts of believers during the Easter season,” the message stated.

As previously reported by the UOJ, the persecuted parish in Novosilky began renovating an abandoned house for prayer.
