The Odesa Exarch of the UGCC, Mykhailo Bubnyi, created a commission for evangelisation in the Odesa region, "taking into account the opportunities for evangelization during the war," reports the UGCC press service.

"Considering the current challenges and opportunities for evangelization during the war, and in accordance with the decree of His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC (No. 24/221 dated July 24, 2024, by the grace of God), by the authority given to me, I am establishing a commission for evangelisation of the Odesa Exarchate," the decree states.

It is noted that the main tasks of the commission are "coordination and development of evangelisation activities in the Odesa Exarchate, cooperation with the Patriarchal Commission and eparchial commissions, organisation of educational events for clergy and laity, and coordination of various evangelisation movements, schools and communities."

As reported by the UOJ, UGCC and OCU clergy staged a provocation in a UOC temple at the AFU soldier’s funeral.
