Right now, representatives of the OCU are attempting to seize the Holy Assumption Cathedral, according to a report from the press service of the Kremenchuk Diocese on the evening of October 17.

"Currently, a group of OCU representatives is attempting to carry out a raid on the Holy Assumption Cathedral. Let us recall that such attempts have been made repeatedly and are absolutely illegal," the statement reads.

In a video published on the diocese's website, men can be seen breaking the lock on the church doors.

As reported by the UOJ, OCU representatives conducted an illegal re-registration of the Assumption Cathedral and Trinity Church of the UOC in Kremenchuk.

On September 19, "according to reliable information, plans were made to seize churches using physical force and weapons" in Kremenchuk. UOC believers came out to defend their churches, including the Assumption Cathedral.
