The Department for Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Regional State Administration dismissed an official who incites religious hatred, Dmytro Horevoy, from his post "at his own request", reports the NGO “Miriane” (“Laity”).
The organization published on its TG channel the corresponding document received from the Lviv Regional State Administration. It notes that Horevoy has been dismissed from his position as head of the Department for Religions and Nationalities since September 15, 2021.
“The ideological enemy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Dmitry Horevoy, was dismissed from the post of head of the Department for Religions and Nationalities by the order of the Department for Culture, Nationalities and Religions of the Lviv Regional State Administration dated 09.09.2021. Horevoy was dismissed at his own request. But we know what his “request” is dictated by,” noted the NGO “Miriane”.
Earlier, believers of the UOC announced that they would seek the dismissal of the OCU propagandist Dmitry Horevoy, who, being the head of the Department for Religions and Nationalities of the LRSA, continues to publicly incite hostility and hatred towards the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the media.
On the claim of "Miriane", the court ordered the police to open a criminal case against Horevoy. In the LRSA itself, they said they saw no reason to dismiss the official. The believers turned to the Ministry of Culture since the department in which Horevoy works is subordinate to it.
