The commission headed by "Metropolitan" Dimitriy of Lviv and Sokal is tasked with conducting a detailed investigation, including interviews with the cathedral’s rector, dean, and senior deacon, as well as the leaders and creators of the mural project, and to provide a report on the findings.

As reported, in Lutsk, portraits of Volyn businessmen Viktor Chornukha, Leontiy Ivanishyn, Yevhen Dudzka and MP Ihor Palytsia were painted over in the upper church of the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the OCU. The portraits had been commissioned by OCU "Metropolitan" Mykhailo Zinkevych.
