On the morning of December 13, officers of the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) detained Archpriest Andriy Stupnytskyi, rector of the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Povcha, according to the Telegram channel "Rivne. Voice of the Church".
The priest was on his way to a church service on his name day. Despite serious health issues, including first-degree hypertension (with a blood pressure of 180/100 at the time of detention), diabetes, and other conditions, he was transported between various military training grounds throughout the day.
The Telegram channel also published a document showing that Father Andriy, despite his hypertension, was declared fit for military service.
At one training ground in the Rivne region, officials refused to accept him and sent him home. However, TCC officers continued to keep Archpriest Andriy under their control, effectively depriving him of his freedom.
Later, it was reported that Father Andriy decided to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a chaplain. However, due to his health condition, he was sent home for treatment.
Previously, the UOJ reported that the TRC took the secretary of the Khust Eparchy to an unknown location.
