On November 13, 2021, Metropolitan Vladimir of Vladimir-Volynskiy and Kovel performed the rite of consecration of a new church of the Nativity of the Mother of God, which was built by the believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the village of Myzovo, Volyn region, reports the UOC Information and Educational Department.
The temple was built within 9 months after the start of work. After the consecration of the throne and the new church, Metropolitan Vladimir, concelebrated by the clergy of the eparchy, performed the Divine Liturgy. The bishop congratulated the parishioners and the rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, Archpriest Anatoly Matselik, on the important event, and also gave church awards to the patrons and those parishioners that were actively involved in the construction.
The raider attacks on the temple began in January 2019, when at a meeting of local residents with the participation of the head of the united territorial community V.I. Semeniuk, a vote on the transfer of the local religious community of the UOC to the OCU was initiated. The believers of the UOC who had lost their church decided to build a new temple, and a year later they consecrated the foundation for it.
