On February 24, 2025, the Polish Orthodox Church called on believers to pray for peace in Ukraine and for an end to military conflicts worldwide.

The Church’s press service published a communiqué, noting that 2025 marks three years since the beginning of the armed conflict in Ukraine, which "has taken tens of thousands of lives, left hundreds of thousands wounded, torn families apart, and destroyed cities, schools, hospitals, and homes."

"The war that ignited in Ukraine has also spread to the Middle East, affecting Palestine and Israel. Currently, there are more than 180 active armed conflicts in the world, and the suffering of countless people continues," the statement reads.

In light of this tragic anniversary, the Polish Orthodox Church appeals to all those who are not indifferent to human suffering, urging them "to pray for peace every day and to care for the victims of war."

"Let us comfort their pain and wipe away their tears," the communiqué states.

Concluding its message, the Polish Church offered a prayer: "God of peace, may Your Spirit bring peace to Ukraine, to our world, and to our hearts!"

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Primate of the Polish Orthodox Church mentioned the persecution of the UOC in his address.
