Metropolitan Leonid of Klin signed the first 115 antimensions for parishes of the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa, as reported on his Telegram channel.

"Signed the first 115 antimensions for Africa. This is history!" the archbishop wrote.

Earlier, he said that 150 clerics had already joined the Exarchate, for each of whom a thorough check had been carried out. Initially, 102 African priests declared their willingness to move to the Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church. To train new priests, with the blessing of Patriarch Kirill, quotas will be made for the training of African residents in the theological educational institutions of the ROC.

The Patriarchal Exarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Africa was established on December 29, 2021. This was preceded by numerous requests of African clerics to be admitted to the ROC after they unsuccessfully asked the Patriarchate of Alexandria to reconsider its decision to recognise the OCU.
